I prefer Albercht Duerer's woodcut of the rhinoceros more than Hans Burgkmair due to the more eminent textures in the woodcut. Durer adds much more visible scales texture pattern along the rhinoceros's legs and shoulders, along with its torso. I also appreciate the more prominent protruding spiked ends of the rhino's body plates, almost giving the animal a medieval ambiance.

The most amusing depiction of the rhino for me was from Giovanni Giocomo Penni. Even though he was a critically acclaimed doctor and had his depiction last for a while, his was the most comedic in its inaccuracies on the rhino's neck and limb proportion. The simplified mark-making also makes the rhino seem funny to me because it looked like this well known doctor's interpretation of a rhino was drawn by a child.
